Skate the Lake is run by volunteers and financially we depend on sponsorship, donations and registration fees. Even though we won't have a traditional Skate the Lake weekend with races and activities because of the pandemic, we have committed to maintaining the oval (weather permitting of course) and with that come many fixed costs such as insurance, equipment maintenance, fuel etc. Without registration fees we are facing challenges financially.
